A car has smashed through the wall of a house in Newry, County Down, ending up in the bedroom of a teenage boy.

It happened at about 0600 GMT on Sunday in the Damolly Meadows area. One man, aged 32, has been arrested.

Jonathan Funston, 16, who has learning difficulties and epilepsy had just woken up when the vehicle crashed into his room. He was uninjured.

His mother, Elaine, was watching her son on a monitor when the car came through the wall.

"There's a massive big hole in the child's room, his room was all adapted for him with padding on the walls and on the floor," she said.

"If the car had come in another six inches, 12 inches to the left it would have come under the window hit the bed and then trapped him because he was at the door at the time."

The family is being re-housed while an engineer surveys the damage.

Think he must have just bought a copy of GT Porsche and read that the 997 Turbo is depreciating at roughly £ 3,500 pm ... and all you smug 993 owners can sleep easy as they say the 993 prices are not really being effected ... not cause they a better car but cause the owners are less likely to 'panic' sell :wack:

Cool that means I can buy another one for only £100 in 24 months time...I somehow doubt it!! :?
