How should i answer this question;

"How long have the 2nd driver held a licence?"

They will assume that the 2nd driver is a UK licence holder so you will definitely have to divulge that hers is not , I came across this when I moved to the UK . If you don't, you run the rik of them (a) not paying out in the event of an accident and (b) them accusing you of making a false statement (sure you will find it in the small print) and then getting yourself blacklisted

But its a peach to drive very happy with it. Tomorrow i will tidy up some odds and ends such as radio code, antenna, book in for a service, various trim screws and plugs

If your close to Croydon I'd recommend Surrey Smart Centre
Owned by an old friend of mine and his wife Tony Clutterbuck, one of the first independent smart specialists and a very proper chap

As you say, Simon, cute, quirky, air-cooled engine in the back, but can I recommend this -

http://www.smartuki.com/ or this - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SSXhCN3kdUQ

That will give you some fun!!

Enjoy -

I drove a Smart car on Sardinia a few years ago, and since then was quite keen on the whole range - the beauty about these cars is they are so light you don't need power assistance or massive brakes etc, the go and corner and stop really well. Re the upgrade, Google for it and you will see there are loads of conversions.... obviously it can't be too hard....

In the first couple of tries I selected the URL tab and inserted as usual - however the whole comment went blank. Then in the last one, I cut and pasted so you would be able to see the links...

PS Have you guys tried Google Chrome?? It is better than firefox and way better than MS explorer - it is seriously lightening fast, pages take a lot less time to come up....

i tried chrome but no gmail add-on for it so will wait for that

Probably a bit late posting this, but as Lithuania is in the EU and as she won't have to re-take a UK driving test the Insurance company can't really surcharge or not take the Lithuanian years into account,

IMO of course, but I'm a Health & Safety guy, and as long as there's Insurance companies around, even WE have someone to hate :D
