Lucky enough to have had delivery of your new 997 GT2, about time for an upgrade !

German tuning house speedART has taken the wraps off its latest mad-Porsche, a heavily boosted version of the already extreme 997 GT2. After going under the knife the car comes out with increased power and torque, custom alloys and suspension upgrades, lifting performance to the levels expected from only the most exotic of supercars.

Furthermore speedART offers individual interior design, sport seats, sport steering wheels and special leather or alcantara applications depending on customer requests.

Final numbers for the modified GT2 stand at 650bhp and 859Nm of torque. This increase of 120bhp and 180Nm over the standard car's 530bhp and 685Nm of torque is possible due to modified VTG turbochargers, a sport exhaust with twin tail pipes, sport catalytic converters, new headers, bigger intercoolers and an optimized Motronic ECU update.

The acceleration from 0 – 62mph now takes just 3.2 seconds and the top speed is a staggering 216mph. This makes the speedART GT2 quicker to 60mph than a Ferrari Enzo supercar, and almost as quick in terms of top speed.

The special-edition is dubbed the speedART BTR-XS 650 (which is speedART shorthand for 'Bi Turbo Racer - Extra Speed with 650hp') and comes at a cost of €27,500 £20,000 – plus a 911 GT2 of course.

although still not convinced that launching a new upgrade package with different wheels on either side is the way to go

859Nm of torque!!

oh, your going to feel that!

not so sure about the white wheels though

still a stunning looking car

Andyc,

appears that speedart are also not too sure on the wheels either. you will noitce that the driver side has black alloys while the passenger side has white alloys !!. :hand:

doing an ebony and ivory theme although i would still take it off their hands for a discount for the mismatched alloys and likely mismatched tyres - classic sign on a used car that the previous owner was operating on a shoestring budget :floor:

And neither set in my opinion look nice :yuk: , but each to there own I guess
