Considering 964 purchase

Looks ok...

But get an inspection.

Welcome to the forum BTW. :D

A specialist will do a ppi, but I'd use Peter Morgan or Phil Raby who will do you a proper report, and see the car at the vendor's home. Cost around £250-300, but it'll save you at least that in bargaining points!

Also, see who's done the servicing, and speak to them about it.

Thanks for the advice, very useful.

Discovered the rebuild and a couple of services have been done by HP Motorsports so will get in contact with them.

One thing which does worry me is that the car has had 10 owners  . Should I be worried?

I spotted that car for sale recently and thought from the description how good it sounds, especially for the price. Well worth a proper look IMO.

Owners wise, mine has had 12 but....by going through all the service receipts (it seems to have most of them) I can only find evidence of 6 owners and am lead to believe that in the early days of the cars life that a plate change constituted a new owner. This is obviously not the case now. So it may not have had as many 'new' owners as the V5 implies.

You will always have to spend more money than just routine servicing on these cars but that it's already had a small rebuild is a bonus.

I would be more concerned finding a 911uk sticker in the window than 10 owners

Seriously, Porsche's do change hands more than your average car. A good PPI will be the best indicator not numbers of owners.

best of luck!
