911e dash top removal

does anybody no how to get the dash top off a 1972 911e.

Yes, you really need to take the screen out to do it properly, at least when you are replacing it. Its held in place by a load of 6mm (from memory) studs that you get at from the luggage compartment. There are also pegs on the top section that fit ito plastic sockets near the fron edge; thats why you need to take the screen out to be able to lify the dashtop up to release them.
