Just to clarify the position on the moving of threads within the forum.
As we are a cross Porsche forum and a very busy one as well, sometimes threads that are posted in the General Porsche sub forum that have specific content and purpose, result in threads been moved to their specific sub forum that it relates to.
I am sure you will agree that such thread moves help keep all of the info in the correct forum, as the general section has over 2000+ threads and it is easy for info to disappear in such a large section.
FYI, 6 months ago the General section had over 3500 threads and most of these have been moved into their specific sub-forums.
For example, if a thread about 996 Clutches is posted in the general section it will be moved to the 996 sub-forum etc etc for anything specific on the Model Range sub-forums, after all we have 8 seperate sections on different model ranges.
This also applies to every other sub-forum not just the general section, so if you post a question about Sat Nav gadgets in the 'members lounge', it will be moved to the 'Technical & Gadgets' section etc etc
99.9% of the time threads are moved to another sub-forum, it is very rare for a thread to be deleted unless there is a direct abuse of the forum rules.
Please be aware that threads could be moved at any time, within minutes or after a week, as a general clearup happens now and again (although a note stating the move may or may be added) remember those mod's also have full time jobs as well (or so I heard!).
If your thread is not where you last saw it, please use the search function to find it's new location. If you still can not find it please post a query in the 911uk.com feedback sub forum (yes I know it's all the way at the bottom, but it had to go somewhere!).
Of course there are times when may miss something, so if you spot a thread in the wrong place drop one of the mod's a pm to let them know.
and thanks to all of you for all of your help in contributing to the forum.
regards
