warranty question...

hey guys,

Ive got PCM1 in my car, and when I use the tape player (yes I still use the odd tape) the unit starts to make a funny squelling noise... the noise actually starts as it is taking the tape in and whilst it is playing. So basically its annoying. Is the pcm covered under the warranty? I doubt it, but thought its worth checking.

Have you tried a tape cleaner ?

Should be covered otherwise...

it begins to make the noise before it plays the tape....have tried an old cleaner... but may call west london opc to ask them

I had this same problem on my previous Golf. Even some cassettes gave this squealing noise, others didn't.
