I know the 911R is one rare car but £650K? Must be a brokerage car.

Yes it is on brokerage - but it's not just any R - it's THE R that won Marathon De La Rue etc and made the 911 the legend it is today - no comments on the price
but I've had the honour to be driven in this car and it is, for me, the pinnacle of everything 911.

so in essence you're really paying for the history of that particular car more than its metal/moving bits

If it won something, why is the mileage 0? :?

In the same way a Picasso is worth a wee bit more than the value of the canvas and paint

Definitely, positively, no comment  :D

Similar cars, ok not R3, have sold in the US for around $475k - closer to £250k - you pays your money and makes your choice.....!

The ex. Bjorn Waldegard ST drew £180k earlier this year - 2 BRX probably the most famous TR drew £230k - kind of says a lot about R3's current asking price :D
