996 Headlamp Washers

Hi

I have just realised that the headlamp washer system on my 996 doesnt appear to be working. I have removed both headlights and the pump appears OK and water is comming from the washer pipes when the lamps are removed. Does anybody know how the washer jet works, ie are they supposed to raise up from the headlight, cos if they are, they dont.

I havent washers on C4S,

however my 993, used to have a push back stalk on the wiper stalk, however the lights had to be on, I would imagine the 996 is the same.

Hi, on mine they work only when dipped or high beam is on - hand book confirms this.
