Why has this stayed so long?

guards red with light grey interior could explain it.....................like i've mentioned before guards just doesn't suit the 996 for some reason.........and the light grey interior just doesn't help it either

Also a very early 996. Same reg year as my 993!

It's R reg so it has probably done a million miles too!

So one year left to have under Porsche warranty which is a big risk and worth low £20k's.

Must say I like the guards red as opposed to all those boring greys and silvers. Would look better with a cream interior but as Porsche don't do that black would be the next option.

Guards did look good on the C4S but agree, the narrow bodied one just isnt quite there in the same way as the 3.2/964/997

Red just doesn't work on a standard C2 I'm afraid, the coloured front indicators look awful against the red, probably stellar mileage (does Henry do low milers??). Grey interior is always a bit yukkie.

Personally I think only the GT's & Turbos of the 996 range can wear guards.

You would say that! Know what you mean about the indicators though!

Of course! But you don't disagree either. Same as Daz's speed yellow, colour only for 996 GT's & turbo's.

True - but you hardly ever see red turbo's! It will be mine one day though!

i personally think the red looks superb, but fashion dictates you'll never sell it easily.
