I am getting round to thinking about getting the next 911. I was always planning to get a 996 turbo towards the end of the year as tey seem to be a bit of a bargain now. However, just came across a GT2 for nearly the same price as a turbo of similar age...obviously this cost a huge amount more originally so got me thinking. I only use my car at the weekend but I still have to drive over speed-humps, go to the supermarket in medium traffic etc etc...can I cope with a GT2 or is it too firm, too low and too clutch-heavy? Any thoughts?

The problem is more what happens if it rains!

Unfortunately I haven't even seen one so can't comment on the praticalities. Sorry.

Go for a GT3

better than turbo

and you can live with it

before a GT2 kills you

naught wrong with a gt2

as there are some nice ones out there that have been tuned to 500 bhp and beyond

Followed a v
black 996 GT 2 on the M4 last week looked great and when the e road cleared he left my way find behind. BUT you could see how harsh the ride was even ona fairly flat MWay road.....

I would imagine it would be a hard ride for any distance.
