Could it be done?

I have to drive an auto, but would like more power and choice than the stock 993 tiptronics.

I hear the Audi DSG is one of the best, how easy could it be mated to a fast 993?

didnt ruf do a clutchless version of some of their cars - i seem to remeber a running report in 911 & PW from a few years back? It was the same guy that ran a 959 for a while

Yup, as above- Ruf did a clutchless box.

If you just need more poke, you could always supercharge a 'normal' 993 Tip?

agreed.. or even get a turbo fitted

leave the Porsche gearbox as it is and strap on more power.... much easier than retrofitting a new age gearbox

Wolvreen - check out ruf's website.

As for turbocharging etc - maybe the tip box cant take the extra hp? Maybe Thats why ruf et all offer their own box?
