Hi guys new to the forum. What are your thoughts on these. 82x plate 3.0sc coupe in Rosewood metallic 82k miles tan lthr described as mint at around 10k or 3.0sc coupe Ferry Porsche special edition with around 70k for about 11k. Both LHD and described as mint. Which would you go for.

Go and look at both, buy which ever is in better condition (have them professionally inspected - may cost a few quid, but worth it in the end). Arguably a 'limited edition' car may be more desireable, but not if it's a shed ! At this stage condition is everything - one man's 'mint' is another man's 'ming' !!!!!

I had an 82' SC and loved it. I was the second owner it had full OPC history and the original owner had it for 17 years so it was mint. As Jamie says condition is prime but equally important is the history - regular servicing etc.... The PPI is very important.

By the way this months "Octane" magazine has a small 2 page buyer guide for the SC.

as per Jamie and WillD, get an inspection done on them for sure. Its also worth doing a bit of research and finding out if both cars have had any recommended upgrades done - ie Tensioners etc.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Seen the Rosewood car last night. Swiss import. Car looked mint no rust anywhere enthusiastic owner. FPSH. All electrics worked. Whale tale 7 and eight fuchs. Lovely. No nasty engine rattles. Will get inspected. As ever though as with any older car it is a lottery!!

£10 k FOR A lhd sc

Sounds dear enough,

You should get a RHD one for that or a Carrera 3.2

Not bothered about LHD or RHD. Thought the price looked ok. Been looking for a while seen nothing much cheaper or in as good condition. Only 80k miles from new. rather pay more for a decent car than less for an old dog!!!
