Does anybody know where I can get hold of a cover that clips over the soft top when it's down ?

You could try southbound motor trimmers in the U.K. or... bit more hassle but you should find one in a Porsche breaker such as Simon at Porschapart. Pick up a 911 & Porsche world and get dialing. Last resort a U.S. breaker, look under I think crashed Porsche or Porsche salvage on the net.
