I have a 72 911t and the trottle linkage is binding up causing it to run wide open, I can 'reset' it from the engine I think it is catching under the rear seat. Is there an easy way to get to that part of it?

I'm not sure about a '72 911 but on only slightly later models there is a removable metal plate under the carpets and fitted centrally behind the front seats . You might also look at the throtle linkage fastened to the gearbox and check the shaft there for any 'sticktion' . The other area apart from the engine bay is in the peadal box , easy to inspect in there once you have removed the carpet surround . It slides over the pedals .
