Hi Berni

This is the link https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352707993998

I plugged it into the back of the CDR22 and connected to it through the Aux channel. The Parrot Bluetooth phone system is a CK3100, which is ancient. I think later versions may be better.

Everything works with my iPhone, if I receive a call the music mutes and then comes back on when the call disconnects. I've had one instance of it being a bit flaky but on the whole it works fine. For less than £10 it's worth a try.

I'm going to update the headunit once the updated Classic Nav unit becomes available but this will do for the moment.

Hello Ian,

Thank you for the link.

The device you bought for the Becker is different from what I required, but performs the same functionality.

My unit has a 30 pin ipod lead (exiting in the glovebox) which can control ipods. Nowdays that is old hat, so you get a bluetooth adapter which plugs into that. It also makes the old Bose soundocks (and other similars) into bluetooth devices by plugging the adapter in where the ipod would have gone.

Having said that I would rather have your solution as the head unit is sooooo much nicer.

I have an old Parrot 3200LS from 2008 in my car. Also works just fine.

Have you posted anywhere about your C2S? Congratulations and wish you well to drive it.

Berni

Another post lol, I cracked and bought a "Continental TR7412UB-OR MP3-Autoradio mit Bluetooth USB AUX-IN"

I think we will be very happy together. I will take this opportunity to remove the aforementioned eyesore parrot also.

Hi Endoman.

Berni

Now 2 catch tanks, on the oil tank to manifold vents and voltmeter, vac gauge and AFR gauge, gone a bit silly. Rennline airbag delete panel vinyl needs reglueing.

Hi Endoman

That looks interesting. I used to love having a vacuum gauge in my car back in the day! Will have to do some research on the AFR gauge and catch tanks.

All the best

Berni

The vac gauge is monitoring Vram vac lines atmo so it wacks up to, or rather down to 25 and holds steady for days. Next mod is a 3way solenoid valve so that when ignition is activated manifold pressure is monitored. Switch off and it goes back to vac tank.
The AFR is reading left bank due to Fabspeed exhaust supplied with 4 ports but being an early car ecu only uses one. Readings are spot on, interesting to see it jump about when driving but musn't get distracted. As well as digital numeric it has a digital rev counter type display. Red, amber and green when your are in the sweet spot.

Two weeks ago really, but here goes:
Major service, including:replaced fuel filter,12 spark plugs, brake fluid change, gearbox oil change, air con regas, inner windscreen seal, new battery, new driver's side sun visor fixings, rear PS4 tyres and an MOT.
This was all with a view to enjoying a track day at Spa next week and a trip to The Alps and possibly The Dolomites in late June. Everything this summer now canned including MM and FoS. ffs not even allowed to go for a drive the car Mad

Hi There

All wired in correctly with buttons that dim with the dashboard illumination (feed from ashtray light) and power to the arial amp connected.

Sounds and looks much better than the its predecessor, and being able to stream spotify is great. The handsfree functionality seems very good also.

Also removed all the Parrot gubbins and had a good tidy up with loom tape.

All the best

Berni

Looks good Berni, and your photos have convinced me to buy one.
Any tips or hints about fitting it? Or should I take it to a professional (when this virus thing is over)?

Hi

The head unit is the Continental TR7412UB but they also do a DAB version. That unit apart from the DAB also dims the central LED panel along with the buttons. The regular non-DAB unit (my one) does not have a dimmable LED.

Fitting is pretty easy depending on which unit and option your car has, there has been much written on this and there are some excellent guides on Rennlist.
If your car is unmolested and does not have the HIFI option then fitting can be very easy indeed. Remember to swap the +ve ignition and live feeds round and to connect the arial power lead up also. Getting the pins out of the ISO plug can be a faff, but do it the right way and its all totally doable.

In the current climate spending a few hours sitting in the passenger seat systematically working out what is what etc might be quite pleasant. It was for me.

All the best

Berni

This little gizmo, installed inside the high level spoiler;

This strobe/flash controller provides an easy way to convert your vehicles 3rd brake lamp to add an additional warning by converting the standard stop light to a strobe/flash solid break warning indicator. When the brakes are applied this unit first goes into a strobe mode, then a flash mode, then goes to solid, giving traffic behind you greater rear visibility of your presents when stopping.

I bought one of these a while ago (flash only) but didn't fit it as I wanted the option to turn it on or off and never got around to working out how to do it.
