But as my buddy Terry said (who also did the Feynlab ceramic coating), 'race cars always come in white'.

Its a rare occasions that's an issue in the Highlands! Usually the hotter the seat the better! Grin

Well, now that I live in the Great White North, I'm quite grateful for the dark (blue) interior to trap as much heat as possible.

Are you missing 'yours' Bobba?
Like most, I consider a change from time to time but they are such great value and so easy to live with.
Anyway, I trust that lovely V8 screamer is behaving itself!

Well with the ongoing worldwide chaos have found myself with some extra time at home so taking advantage to get some jobs done to the car,

Had an SPH-DA230DAB Pioneer lying around which was previously in my Cayman as well as the 987/997 Double din fascia adapter

Connects2 brand MOST adapter Kit (CTSP0005.2) which I picked up from eBay a few months back for 60 Quid along with a Steering wheel adapter cable to fit the pioneer,(CTPIONEERLEAD) second hand but unused BARGAIN!!

Installation was a doddle the kit worked perfectly, Had read posts previously about the loss of fade control whilst fitting the aftermarket head units so found setting the fade to Rear 7 on the PCM prior to removing worked best,

Completely Plug-n-play all works great including the steering wheel controls, Id recommend the connects2 kits if you are planning doing a head unit up grade!

When I fitted my same head unit yesterday, I found the bottom edge of my new grey trim would not stay in. And looked like your top photo. So I drilled 2 4mm holes in the side supports and added 2 self tapper screws exactly where the lower clips meet the frame. The screws spread the clips & hold them firm allowing me to position the trim perfectly flush.

My connect 2 fit was not exactly plug & play as one wire for the amp wake up was in the wrong place & I had to un-pin the fibre optic extension for the phone kit. I also found that the unit powered up when the key was inserted, but powered off unless I went to full ignition position. So I found the correct key in (accessory live) wire and replaced the red wire in the Pioneer loom. Works more like the factory radio now imo.

Sounds incredible with the Bose Sub btw.
