Glad your car is on the mend. You've taken it to the best place for suspension problem fixes.

It must have been a hell of a bang when it happened and lucky the wheel or spring didn't break as well.

This is an amazing forum: internet diagnosis at its best. And a relatively cheap and easy fix too!

It’s great isn’t it ? All about communication and sharing. thumbsup

Turns out, the spring on that side was replaced, so yeah, must’ve been a bang!
Can’t wait to get him back and see how he handles now!

Watch this space.

Cheers all. worship thumbsup

Stoddy.

Stoddy, drop the car on H&R or techart springs and spacer the wheels.

Not only will you notice the difference in handling but, the stance is so much better.

It transforms the car.

Good luck with car.

All hail CENTRE GRAVITY.

Nice blokes, awesome knowledge, kept me updated with progress and no hard selling.
Full communication and amazing service all round. I can’t recommend them enough. Worth the travel if you’re nowhere near Birmingham too.

Here’s The Duke with full suspension re alignment, new top mounts, Eibach lowering springs and some new ball joints and coffin arms etc.
Handles like a different car, a better one that is!
The anomaly was a bent Top mount, it’s the left one in the photo.
Actually quite easy to spot if you know what you’re looking for.

I’ve some D911 7mm Spacers arriving shortly just to fill the front arches a bit better too! I’ll post a photo when they’re on.

Thanks everyone for your opinions and thoughts, theory’s and advice!

Stoddy and Rufus THE DUKE.

Glad its all sorted. I am visiting CG in a couple of weeks for a set-up, following a health check a little while ago. Looking forward to it.

Did you run with factory geo, or a bespoke CG set-up?

What differences have you noticed with the handling?

It’s bespoke, but not a million miles of standard.
My car was under steering quite a bit, so Pete corrected that to a bit more ‘Bite’ in the corners. Obviously the lowering kit needed adjusting for.
Now it feels really stable at speed, corners nicely with good feedback.
I don’t drive too fast generally but it just feels way more planted now, less twitchy.
