997.2 Carrera S Service Costs

My 997.2 Carrera S is due a service according to the dash. I did do an oil service when I bought it at the same time as doing the brakes and rear tyres but didnt mess with the service reset as it was all done outside of Porsche dealers. Anyway, what is the average cost?
My car has done 87k and is not due plugs or PDK service according to my records. Porsche used to have "fixed price" service costs on their website but I cannot find it anymore. Called my local Porsche Centre and they have quoted me £525 for their "10 year" service. Does not even include an air filter apparantly, just pollen filter and oil service and a whole load of checks!

It's bloody hard to find it, but I downloaded it a while ago and have it saved!

Have attached to this post for you with the details and prices :)

Thanks for the reply. That seems to be referring to the GTS and Turbo?
Mine is Carrera S

According to my local dealer Porsche and currently revising fixed price service details for 2020. They tried to call me to get me to come to them for a service but could not find the price!

OK, went into my local dealer to get some service prices.
Was quoted £525 for a 10 year service over the phone but the service advisor is trying to sell me the 12 year service at over a grand which includes PDK gearbox service and plugs.

Its already got a full Porsche service history with some big ticket items carried out by specialists using genuine parts such as replacing the PASM suspension.

My car already has a record of plugs and PDK service in 2017 with less than 12k miles covered, which one should I go for??

Not sure how much this helps :?: but I was quoted £1125 from Porsche Aberdeen for a fixed price service for my 997.2s.

It's the 12 year service so includes spark plugs, belts etc.

A basic major at my independant is £339 + VAT

Even if I add in the additional items like plugs. belts for the 12 year service I think it would only be @£650.

Mogwai.

I can confirm this. They have already done so for the 991, I have had 5 identical fixed priced service quotes for my 991 for the 6 year service :thumb:
It knocks around 300 quid off the 'normal" price  bargain at £1050  :floor:

Look closely at the indy prices - prices exclude VAT (OPC include VAT). Check and ask for the labour rate at indy as well as OPC (remember to add the VAT to the indy rate). Ask for the book time - OPC will quote you book time and stick to it - even if it takes longer. Indy will say it depends how much things have seized and how long it takes and that book times are meaningless on the older cars. That is an open-ended cheque you are about to part with.

Check like-for-like is included or ask how much extra:
Belts
Plugs
Brake Fluid

Check warranty on the work - OPC will warranty all work for 2 years and only use Porsche parts. Indy warranty will vary and may just cover the part but not the labour to change a defective part. Indy will use mix of genuine Porsche parts and aftermarket parts (these latter are typically upto 30% cheaper than Porsche prices and on top of that will get trade discount - but will not pass that trade discount to you).

Then compare side-by-side and decide what you want.

Tbf on the 991, the 6 year service (with 10% discount) will be 787.50 + VAT. That includes air filters, brake fluid change and replacement of V belt and PDCC tank. Personally I wouldn't even look at an indie at that price.

Thanks for all the enthusiastic responses.
I want to maintain a Porsche service history on my car.
whilst I appreciate that some specialists are even better than dealers I would prefer to keep the service book all main dealer

The service regime is quite confusing.
My car is not due a PDK service or drive belts but the service guy is pushing the 12 year service.

I may bite the bullet but intend on selling the car so want to do only what is due.

I am about to go through the service invoice file with a fine tooth comb,

Can someone please advise when the following service items are due on my 997.2 Carrera S PDK

PDK service
drive belts
spark plugs

thanks

PDK service After 6 years on a 997 (bizarrely 12 on a 991) drive belt every 6 years and plugs every 4.

Thanks for the info, just realised that this info is contained in the service book.
