Handbrake lever removal

Hello

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the front section of the handbrake lever? I want to try and get a carbon section to repalce the leather one but don't want to have to replace the whole handbrake assembly.

Any help would be great

If its like a 996's then it pulls off, with some huffing and puffing, and maybe heat to melt the glue.

Its supposed to pull off but I could not get mine off so sourced a full replacement carbon item off ebay for cheaper than I could get just the carbon sleeve for

Thanks

Was the hand brake a pig to change?

I don't really fancy taking all the center console apart :-(

It just pulls off.

Wear some leather gloves and twist side to side it until it is loose and then it just slides off.

The glue new one on. Done

Yep I saw those vids but still could not get mine off, they must have put extra glue in there lol

Looks like it might be a case of give it a good pull and see what happens.

Thanks for your help guys.

Now I've now to go look for a nice carbon hand brake lever 😁

Will do.

I've always been a sucker for carbon since my mountain biking days so always try and sneak a little in somewhere in my cars lol

Found the steering wheel shortly after buying the car and it then took over about 18 months for the matching gear knob to come up which I just swapped over this week.

Now just need the hand brake and I might do the door handles.

Would love to do the full center console but it's sooooooooo expensive :-(

 looks fab, not difficult to see why you opted for it.

T8 will no doubt pop along to invite you to the next Kent meet, whenever that may be.

Did someone say carbon
