We have the same car. Sports Chrono?

PSE turned always on? thats the key thing to do :)

SSK? also essential :)

I've had cabrio's since 1999 and wouldnt have it any other way.

Lots of people still say "ohhh but it flops around like a fish with no roof", not realising the 997 was designed as a cabrio, so it doesnt......

Yes it's got Sports Chrono but I've not done the SSK

And I never drive it hard ......honestly :floor:

Get one of the cheapo SSK kits from ebay, they're about £25 or £30. Brilliant upgrade. Mines fine about 3 years later :)

I like cabs, but not good for me as I need the occasional rear seats and the rears in the cab are a bit upright . :thumb:

I can't disagree, but I'm pretty short at 5"6 and can sit upright in the back of my cab, but in a 992 coupe I have to crouch as there's not enough headroom. I assume none of the earlier coupes are any taller.

I conclude that for a short person, the Cab is more comfortable in the rear despite the slanted seats. Except if you're doing 100mph plus that is

My mate Dave is over 6ft and doesn't have a problem in the back seats. He does resemble a praying mantis when in there though.

Vroom!

I drove convertible cars for approximately 17 years different makes before I bought a 911 coupe, I still wouldn't mind a convertible again this thread makes you want one.
I've always liked the contrast of the Porsche lines with fabric hoods, some nice cars on here.
Driving convertibles I gauged the correct temperature to 19 - 20 degree C as just about perfect, not to hot & not to cold, that's the best time to have it off

The ultimate car for hey days and holidays. But currently hibernating!

Can't wait until all this rain stops! Nothing quite like a top down run with PSE in loud mode!

Agreed! I never thought I'd own a cab, since I've always had a coupe. But for a second car which only comes out on sunny days it really is the best choice, hardly anything in the handling and performance vs the coupes I tested prior to purchase. Currently hibernating in a dry Carcoon bubble waiting for its spring time service in April.
