Ok, I've had a good look and can't see any sign of creasing or damage. Haven't checked underneath yet due to the undertrays.

Thanks in advance! :worship:

I would be taking the wheel off on the raised side and checking the top mount and related bits for any obvious problems.

Cheers,

I'll do that tomorrow.

I'm with Gazc2 on this one .. i can't see anything obvious on the bodywork .. the seams that i can see all look standard .

I'm a little surprised that it doesn't look like the camber has been adjusted .. the nuts with washers leave a mark in the paintwork after adjustment and yours just looks like clean paint .

The shock thread is actually higher than i first thought so there is something not quite right .. have a visual look at the shock , pull down the plastic cover and perhaps a photo or two of the top mount .

Rule of thumb .. it's been geo,ed with no problems , you have no unusual noises so there's unlikely to be a problem as such .. but something's not quite right there so worth a look .

Just a thought but car on lvl ground and measure the clearance from the wheel to the edge of the wing both sides .. they should be the same , you can measure from the middle of the wheel center cap to the wing or from the ground to the wing .

Ok, I'll get the wheels off tomorrow too. Thanks for the help gents.

27.5 inches from floor to wheel arch, travelling through the wheel badge, both sides.
I'll whip the wheels off tomorrow and check the legs.

Stoddy. :dont know:

Using a block of wood and a hammer on the raised threads, is it possible to CAREFULLY tap the nut and threads back down ? If yes, then top mount is N/G.

Just tried that, no movement at all. Hit it with a wooden mallet and also a large hammer with some wood between.

Obviously I was suddenly aware I was taking a hammer to a nice red Porsche, so was very careful as well!

I see what P9XX is getting at .. if you jack the car up that side so the wheel is off the ground then if the top strut mount is knackered then the threads will drop down .. or you can again hit it to see if they go down.

If the above makes no difference then its possible it has the wrong top strut mount fitted which in this case as you have no problems then you wouldn't worry about .

What is really frustrating for me .. it's a 10 min job to have a look and say what's wrong or if its fine and don't worry ...

Not being able to see the car .. hmm .. annoying to say the least ... either i need to move further north or people need to move to Brighton :floor:

No Brighton's lush, though I never really thought of the Wye Valley being North of much! :floor:

Here's a few pics of the near side/ sticky up suspension leg.
Please excuse the road dirt, I'd just got back and it was beginning to rain!
