Hi all
Does anyone have any experience of the top gear mild sports silencers featured here:

https://www.topgear.co.uk/porsche-9...ype=exhausts&make=PORSCHE&model=997&year=2005

Two questions:
How does this compare to a standard exhaust with a 1.5inch gundo hack? (This is my existing set up which I have been very happy with - I wouldn't want it any louder tbh)
Will the standard exhaust tips fit on these new boxes?

How do I find the forum members discount for topgear?

Thanks in advance

Says it is for a 3.4 or 3.6 996? You sure you gave the correct link?
Forget it, just read the specs where it then adds 997

Give Alexander a PM .. i'm sure he will be able to answer your questions .. after reading about Alex,s experience then i have nothing but praise for this company .

I think you'll find a lot of positives on the forum for these. Alex did a group deal for many of us a couple of years ago.

I have the mild sports and think they're superb value. My mechanic did also. They sound sporty without being too boy-racer. You may want to discuss with Alex if you can get a stainless fitting kit also.

I think there is a link on the forum somewhere with people posting video\audio revving up their pride and joys. If not, its on TopGear's site :)

Top gear are a great company and their products are brilliant

My garage guy said he looked like the rear mild sport silencers I had on my 996 would survive a nuclear holocaust they are so well made and the welding is very good too

I really like the sound of them too and not too crazy loud either

Alex is a great guy and TG are good on customer service so don't waste your time and money elsewhere

For the money they are the best choice by miles

If I recollect, the exhausts are stainless but I'm not sure the U clamps and joiner pipes are. You may also want to get some stainless bolts for the exhausts themselves. None of this is essential, just personal preference.

Rob , top gear are a forum sponsor and offer members 10% off the listed price so be sure to get the discount from Alex or his team . :thumb: as already said don't bother looking at others they are the best for the money . :thumb:
