Thought it would be a good idea to kick off a LM 2020 thread..

Me and a friend went for the first time last year and had a superb weekend, great experience and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Needless to say we are booked for 2020 Very Happy

Last year we did the camping option in the Epinettes site; no complaints at all with this; showers and toilets were decent and not a bad location for track side access plus easy for the tram to LeMan city. I felt we were a bit light on camping gear with only tea and coffee making facilities (our fault) but took a short drive to Arnage Corner for brekkie every day - great place to enjoy a cooked breakfast and some car spotting. This year we are Booked for Houx with Elec Hook up so should be good.

Also a big thank you to SpiderLane if your reading, for Selling us 2 conservatively priced grandstand tickets - shame my mate was too hungover on the Saturday at Start time to witness it ... Grin Well worth it though.

Any others making the trip for 2020? - would be great to get some meet up at the Tunnel and get a convoy going..

A few pics from last year.

Thumb staying Porsche curves area but others making arrangements. I’m in charge of the ambulance this time...might be Porsche shaped though.

Kicked planning off at silverstone this year. Cars were epic.

Great to see you’re booked on for next year - you have the bug now Grin
We’re not doing the 24 next year but the classic instead..
Have great time and hope we’ll get that run out soon

Likewise - went to Silverstone too; enjoyed that. Missed the Corvettes though.

Just read above with interest.

I’ve talked about going for years and this year have committed to promising I will and take my son with me in the PORSCHE.

What’s the best process for doing this, can I just book some tickets and turn up pitch a ten5 ect?

What’s do I need to know?

Help and advice appreciated!

Lee.

I’ve booked up with https://www.justticketsandmotoring.co.uk/ same as we did last year, I would advise to buy general entry tickets and camping from the same source, the likes of just tickets will have good deals on these and availability, the GA ticket will get you access for all week as will the camping prices. You have to get there Thursday in my view and stay the 3 nights.

I wouldn’t risk not booking a pitch - could be a disaster for your first time. Also check this website out - plenty of good info on here http://www.beermountain.com/?m=1

Keep us updated on what you do and always happy to give any further tips/info

I've never done LM, but it's on my to-do list.. May try and get down to it in 2020!

I always like a good chat about Le Mans. I'm not going next year, but have attended getting on for 30 times. If you have any questions just ask.

Not doing LeMans but am doing the Classic next year for the 2nd time, really enjoyed 2018 (apart from the heat).
We are hoping to combine it with some Somme visiting afterwards.

I'm book for the LM24 again this year and the Spa classic in May with different mates. Just a case of deciding to go plain, or do another set of stickers...

Repsol maybe...
