Is this 997 2 Cup Car "Good Value"

Plenty of choice on here https://racecarsdirect.com/ a couple of guys up here have996/997 cup cars and by all reports not a cheap car to run, they do however look and sound awesome belting round Knockhill
 
What makes this cheap though. Is it they werent a successful model for racing Porsches? From memory, people budget £1k/hr as far as running costs go if I'm not mistaken, so are they more expensive to run than the average?. Just curious to learn more about them.
