Porsche 997 Alternative Parts List

:thumb: thanks for that

Suggestion...

I fully support this idea and it being made a sticky.

Just one suggestion though...as there are some differences between 997.1 and 997.2, can contributors please indicate which is relevant (or both If applicable) and if possible the OEM PN(s) which is being replaced?

Something like?

OEM Tie Rod Ends are TRW JTE760 Gen 1 & 2

OEM Inner Tie Rods are TRW JAR1041 Gen 1 & 2

OEM Waterpump is a Pierburg 7.28015.02.0 Gen 1

OEM coilpacks are Beru ZS178 Gen 1

OEM sparkplugs are Bosch FGR5KQE0 Gen 1

Some may find this interesting . Do you want front grilles but dont like the front fitting zunsport ones and dont want to pay porsche tax for OE rear fitted ones . Have a look at these rear fitted grilles they seem like a good product at a fair price.

I just updated the list with these details :thumb:

Eibach Pro lowering spring kit for PASM 997.1 has the part number E10-72-007-01-22, you can buy the springs separately a lot cheaper than buying the kit:
Front springs: 117200701VA
Rear springs: 117200701HA

I used Autodoc.com and saved about £160! :thumb:

Does anyone have a Pierburg part number for a 997.2 Tandem Pump?

Found a source in china for the Gen 1 bootlid 'Carrera' badges that are the rigth size (about 25cm long).

Available in either gloss black or silver. Best to message the seller first to make sure they have them in stock, he will sort you a deal out as they are a bit more expensive than the smaller 991 versions advertised. I paid $31 shipped:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000056690058.html?spm=a2g0s.12269583.0.0.13004022TBXixU

Thats a nice saving on the original which is £45 from opc.

Typically mine is a 4, so has the titanium badge ie a dulled silver

OEM Porsche Bump Stops are actually cheapest from Porsche OPC, about £14 a pop (cheaper than ECP parts), but if you are ordering from Autodoc then they do the FAG 811 0098 30 (2x dust covers and 2x bump stops for £16)
