Just had my 2004 911 S serviced at an independent Porsche specialist and the mechanic said everything is mint on the underside of the car apart from slight corrosion on the power steering pipes. He said that a light sand and wax oil should be quite sufficient to keep the pipes from needing to be replaced.
How easy is it to get to these pipes and what are the pipes actually made of?
I'd rather lightly sand them and then prime and paint them. Any thoughts on the best way to do this? Wheels off, or can you get to them by putting the car up onto jacks?
Any help would be gratefully received.
