Thanks for this info' Paul. :thumb:

I assume that the Mullheim you refer to is the little place near Cologne rather than THE Mullheim much further south. :?:

This is the new venue, its another horse racing track but grass not gravel, theres also a golf course of sorts in the same grounds, its more sheltered and has ample room.

The Tryp have been sneaking their prices up year on year, the first year we went a double room was about £35, rooms are cheaper on their home site, Melia, than third parties but not by much.

As a comparison we paid £75 per night last weekend, it would appear for May it is already double if not more.

Looking forward too this again :thumb: such a good trip this year. Agree with the comments about the Tryp, robbed me blind, £200 for the two nights :x

Wouldn't mind doing Stuttgart again, loved the V8 hotel and would like to do the Porsche factory tour that we missed out on, need to get that booked earlier this time!

Super8 may be the new Tryp :?

Just working on my cousin and we will be 100% there this year, Stay Thursday to Saturday then go to the 'Ring and Spa on the way home. Be it Saturday for the 'Ring and Sunday for Spa...depends on how pi$$ed we are from Friday

When does the costume theme get announced :dont know:

Jin, I think we sort of agreed to a Disney theme for this coming year.
Bear in mind that Disney includes a lot of things now including Star Wars, as well as the more cartoon Disney stuff, so could be quite a good theme

😀👍😀
It's next to the centro Oberhausen, but at the other end from the Tryp
Free cancellation right up to 27 April 2020👍
Car parking
Breakfast
New hotel- great reviews
I have booked on Expedia £140 2 night's, for a twin Queen room for 2 including breakfast 😀
I would suggest get it booked with free cancellation, if we end up at the Tryp hotel no worries.
First we had the V8 Stuttgart, now the Super 8 Oberhausen😂😂👍
Phil, I totally agree we all need to be in the same place, that's what the venture is about 👍😀🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Hi all,
Booked the Super 8 with free cancellation. Just like everyone else has said part of the trip for me is to meet up with forum members.
Oh....fancy dress, love it. :D
First time I have attended this event so please give a nudge if you book anything else.

Yes "Askgeez" I seem to remember suggested Disney as the theme which I think should be fun. The feedback from the Germans on their webpages seems to be they liked the pimps but really liked the superheros the year before. As Disney is such a broad theme it could work well although I am struggling to find Snow White in 4xl :floor: but this may be an option :floor: :floor: :floor: :floor:

In the thriving post-Brexit utopia that we'll no doubt be enjoying, traditional British double breasted suits with bowler hat, umbrella and monocle would surely be welcomed by all at the show....

If only we knew a cigar smoker of Churchillian stature....... :?:

this was the year before this for anyone who didn't see it .  bloody funny driving across Europe dressed like this :floor: :floor: hope my plans work out and I can enjoy 2020 like we have the past 3 years such a laugh with a great group of people. :thumb: :thumb:

Good find Paul :thumb: :thumb:

I liked the Tryp, convenient and good parking, but this looks just as good and breakfast included at half the price I paid last year!
