Love this colour. Dr. Wolfgang's in car PTS – anyone know what it is?
And should the urge not subside, what's the going rate for a glass/engine/carpets out repaint?

I read on Rennlist that it's called Brewster Green, not a colour I've ever heard of before.

I think that is called Forest Green and was a Porsche family favourite colour...they often used to have slightly wacky interiors or exteriors in their personal cars I think.

Or is it oakgruen :dont know:

I'd say £10k for a full glass/engine out job with all coloured internal bodparts doing. £5k+ for body/recesses/engine without going into too much unexposed areas.

£12k-£15k down south

I had full windows out respray of an 84 Carrera in 2014 with rust attended to and a new wing etc with not much left from £8K, that is a top class job though. Presuming they find no other rust etc you would look to be paying £6-8K, you could find much cheaper but i'm sure you know the risks....

We have a polar silver, went in for a finger nail size blister on the scuttle and a few stone chips, 1st class work used them before, started with a chips away type job but they were not happy and because the car deserves it we ended up with the windscreen out and basically the front end and doors painted to achieve a faultless match. £2200 which I thought was pretty good, so an engine out colour change as got to be around the £10, got to find the right people, it's more important than the price IMO. One point to note, which may make no difference to you what's so ever, moving away from the original colour may have an effect on value.

That's definitely not Oak Green (22L) or Forest Green (22E), both of these are metallic whereas the 993TT in the museum is not.

More footage of Dr. Wolfgang's' museum 993TT here:

Many believe the museum car to be Brewster (22B), but it's not! More info on that here, from a trusted source:

Also watch this video from 8min 25sec; a guy painted his GT4 after seeing that 993TT:

Here is Brewster (22B) on a 993 in the wild, very rare:

My oh my, what a lot of good information Gentlemen, thank you. Much to consider. Should I pursue this I will need to factor in new carpets and a change of interior colour (retrim).

And Ch3tman, that is an outstanding post, you have gone someway towards redeeming yourself with that given I attribute some of the blame for my mind being polluted at your (orange) door.

... happy to help... oh, and: DO IT :D 8) :puh:. Will send you a DM on IG with some details.

In 2017 I had glass out bare metal job in Polar with new screens, scuttle done, door checks done, all new seals and external rubber, door seals and membranes, all new fixings etc.
The engine didn't come out, but most of the interior did so that the headlining could come down - and all recesses (doors, windows etc.) could be done properly.

15k :nooo:

This did include a few extra's though:
Full service
New disks and pads
Wheels refurb'd
Full allingnment
Headlight lenses
MOT

I could have had it done a lot cheaper, but I didn't want to do it again..... :hand:

Do it - but don't cut corners....

Roughly £16k including GlassTec Paul, new windscreen and VAT.
In hindsight wish I'd blanked the headlight washer holes.
