How to identify genuine D90 alloys and variations

I'm after a set of genuine D90 wheels that would have been original equipment for a 1990 C2 coupe.

I suspect that there aren't many copies out there as they were never as desirable as Cup 1's, but I might be wrong?

Were there many versions of the D90 or will and D90 be period correct for my 1990 C2?

Many thanks

Yes there are different widths best to check the part number which should start 964...

Thanks for the reply.

So was there only one type of wheel with '964....' part number supplied to all 964's I wonder?

Im not sure what the correct part number is for your car probably best to call an OPC and ask them

I do have a set for sale from a 964 if your interested I can post photos

7Jx16 et55 P/N 964.362.114.01

8Jx16 et 52.3 P/N 964.362.116.01

Winny

I think there was also a 6x16 wheel too but not sure on the part number for that.

Be careful to get the correct one though as they were also original equipment on other porsches like the 944 I think

Thanks for the information, I have now spoken to my local OPC, who have confirmed the following for a 1990 C2 coupe:

Front - 964 362 112 01 6Jx16

Rear - 964 362 116 01 8Jx16

They also kindly quoted me £2,695 for a set of four wheels...

Apologies, it has been a long day, I missed that you had already provided the part numbers..

:floor:

Genuine 6x16 are only £176 new here but they have a slightly newer part number 964.362.112.60

https://www.vwheritage.com/8a0601025qz17-design-90-wheel-6jx16-et513-silver-vw-spare

They are local to me and a good company helped me find parts for my split screen vw

But two of them plus my wheels and you would Save enough money for a decent holiday

Seriously though do shop around as it sounds like they are trying it on

The advert says they are genuine d90 wheels with a 964 part number too and they look genuine to me

What makes you think they are not genuine?

So I did a bit of research turns out they are the OEM winter wheels for the original Audi RS2 so there's the Porsche connection
