Also found this - any thoughts whether it would be better? Looks like the main difference is that it's over-paintable in case the colour match isn't great

I think 447 requires good preparation to remove all rust first more like the finish sprayed inside wheel arches or on seams during the build process. As it's possible to paint over it you will be able to colour match. It won't self heal as well as the wax based products though.

Spoke to a very helpful lady at Dinitrol. Her advice:

Steam clean area, let it dry, mask off area, apply RC900 rust converter, allow to cure overnight, then apply a fine mist of 3125, then 4941.

So this is what I'm going to do in the next couple of weeks
