Does anyone have the part number for the electrical cable that disables the rear spoiler when you change to a GT3 rear spoiler, as on the 996 gen 1 its a cable not coded out ?

The harness part number is 996 612 070 51, but your parts guy will confirm.

You're right it can't be coded out. Not a lot can on 996.1s. :thumb:

Loom is around £80 IIRC.

There is a way of jumping two wires to fool the car its okay. I looked into it but have obviously become used to the red light on the dash as its still on a year or so later...

My 996 came with Factory Aerokit. When I swapped back to standard spoiler, I didn't have to re-activate it. It seems the Aerokit looms is wired to deactivate the warning as I didn't have to reactivate the Standard pop up spoiler - I just worked.
