Is it the "usual suspect" where the hose changes to a hardline into the steering rack, the aluminium ferrule corrodes and splits apart :?:
If so, two jubilee clips over the hose and clamp it down onto the hard line :thumb:

Google 'gumi pflege". It is what the German manufactures all use. It is the best stuff for rubber seal sqeaks/rattles/creaking noises. Don't put silicon based products on them
