Anyone know how to fix this issue?

Mine used to do that when I bought the car 14 years ago.

The leather was extremely dry and had shrunk a bit, putting tension on the clips and pulling them free. A few layers of leather conditioner put moisture back into the leather and the problem has never come back.
 
All hardbacks do that, it's a feature! ;-)
 
Yep, standard on those seats, as Sutton says, due to dry leather, get some cream in into, looks like you have all the clips in place still so easy enough to get it back
 
Actually now looking at your pic on a proper screen the clips arent there! Do you have them? If not you need to get them from OPC

Thanks guys much appreciated. I will order the clips and give the leather a treatment.

More pics of the interior. The colour is Chestnut Brown and it looks great in person but can sometimes photograph a little off.
