Brake Disk deglazing / honing required?

I'm replacing my standard Pagid street pads with Brembo HP2000 sport (mild track) pads.

The disks are standard Pagid drilled road disks, only a year old and look fine ....but do I need to deglaze or hone the disks for proper bedding in of the new track pads?

Any guidance would be appreciated ;-)

When I change pad manufactures on race bikes I just give the discs a clean up using a scotch bright pad to remove old pad material from the discs.

a quick rub around with a piece of sand paper of some sort or emery cloth, you certainly will not harm them in this way and get a like new finish for your pads :thumb:

Might be worth checking / clearing the disc holes when you're at it 👍
