Let's talk about wheels , 997 wheels

BBS F1. OEM 997 GT2 size so no harsh ride like on 20s. They look like 20s too not 19s. Car after full 90,000 miles and a tart up. Runs 680PS ish now courtesy of 9e on V Power so no more race fuel required (unless at VMAX!)

I can vouch for that, those BBS F1 made my 19" GT2 wheels look like 18" wheels in comparison.

Cheers...very nice...I like the look....I know that black on black maybe not everybody's cup of tea but I do like the look... very stealthy

I use my Carrera Sports as winters, and I run some nice lightweight OZ Racing Ultraleggeras in the summer. For those who like OE, here's a picture.

That's exactly what I thought ...!

Just out after a lay up but surely first dab cleans them up ?

She'd just been washed. No lay up other than for full respray.

She's going v.well thanks to 9e and looking well thanks to Tom at 911V. Actually car looks virtually new. 911 Virgin's local paint shop did the job. Few snagging items but no biggie I'm thrilled with her condition. Apollo bought his car up and you'd be hard pushed to pick which car has 30k miles and 90k miles both from driving and looks wise. Have to say thoughApollos turbo virtually street concours. Think I may have scared the life out of him

Took her back a few weeks ago to VMAX. She was 0-300kph circa 25-28 secs on every run in 33c which is incredible in that heat over 15 back to back runs. Maccas were taking it easy as cooling an issue on the day for them. Sport Series were running better than Super Series in the heat due to cooling issues of 720s on the day according to Macca owner. Top speeds do not lie. Ran 215mph at same event on a cool day so shows how hot it was. Reckon she's circa 680-720PS at the crank maybe more.

After coming close to selling my sport designs I decided to refurb them.
With the intention of using as a winter set I chose a darker finish , difficult to capture its a satin magnesium that has a coppery bronze fleck in it.
Really pleased with them

I have a basalt black 997 , if the colour combo doesn't work then i will sell them but already having the lobsters in high silver fancied a change .
The centre caps are genuine items from a set of 20 inch Carrera Classic 2s i currently have on the car .

Nice work and getting my sport designs done in that sort of colour once the winter wheels go on . Mine is a black car so a little limited on what I can do as don't want black on black and it's a daily too.

I love what mike has done with the bronze colour on his 997 cab
