YCP Yorkshire Classic Porsche Jon Chambers £500k owed #2024 Update

Are there any decent Porsche dealers in Yorkshire? As a proud Yorkshireman, I'm struggling to come to terms with all of this. Our reputation hasn't suffered this much damage since the Jimmy Saville fiasco.

For the last 10 years have used Strasse in Leeds to look after mine. Found them to be a good place to go.

I've always had very good service from the guys at RPM Specialist Cars

https://www.rpmspecialistcars.co.uk/

Right next door to Mr Mearns, but Andy, Nick & co are in an entirely different class.

Mark

Thanks Mark, I considering adding something air cooled to the garage, so I'll add them to my 'safe' list.

Thanks. They've got a nice 993 in polar silver for sale too. Might pay them a visit at the weekend.

YCP

Teal0410 Have you got your issues resolved with YCP? Let us all know if they have come good and salvaged Yorkshire dealers reputations :thumb:

Re above, Teal PM'd me and told me some of his story which as it concerns Jon is a concern.
I've advised him to put his story up here and let the world know but he seems reluctant.
So come on mate post the story of your problems, this forum has a bit of clout, I know from my experience.

Issues with Jon at YCP?

I'm sorry to hear that but not suprised from my own experiences

I hope you haven't lost your mind or your money. Time is a great healer, I barely think about him any more :D

Looks like YCP have moved from their garage at Collingham to a new site near York YO60 6PG Unit 31.

There new web site does state that: All deposits taken are non refundable. They are legally entitled to do this unless the vehicle sale is done outside of the business premises.

I passed their place in Collingham this morning, still plenty of cars on the forecourt.

That is just their service garage - the one that is the registered address for YCP Adventure Ltd, Jon isn't a director of this but rather his wife. I am anticipating a change of website address, livery etc in the next few days...

I should think YCP adventure Ltd will 'rent' the collingham branch from YCP Properties Ltd, perhaps?

Haha what a shame for Jon!

On a side note, I overheard in the pub last week that Yorkshire Classic Porsche Ltd have 'ceased trading' with the RAC and YCP Adventure Ltd have been using the RAC warranty, logos etc etc without ever been an RAC approved dealership!

YCP

It is reported over on DDK that Yorkshire Classic Porsche went today aswell! Is it just Porsche specialists that are going bang just now or are there many other mark specialists going under?

Unpaid customers
Unpaid suppliers
Unpaid staff

I am sure there will be plenty of people to get involved!

I'm all ears to the FACTS, lets hear about it

YCP Yorkshire Classic Porsche Jon Chambers Liquidation

Are YCP still in business ? there are no cars for sale on their website ?

Yes and no.

They're active but in talks with a liquidation firm.

Stuttgart motors is the new firm on the premises...
