No accident damage to blame. Both rear sills ripe.

Yup, one of the weakpoints of the car. Get it fixed and move on.

When you've had to cut so much out of a car like I did with Mk2 Escort Mexico shell that you have to brace the door shuts and diagonals with angle iron whilst you do the repair come back to me. :grin: :thumbs:

Presumably moisture behind the skirts ? Glad I haven't got any...hate rust after restoring an old mini and Mazda mx5!!!
