Which 911 is the best looking ?

Well said jonttt, at last a man with taste. And bias, obvs, but since when was this objective?

..I was booking my car into Williams Crawford this morning and as I was stood outside of the workshop I watched a black 964 Turbo pull of the ramp , drive past and up the road...looked and sounded fantastic...

They also had a 1973 RS Touring in the reception area that is off to Hong Kong ...a cool £750,000!

They have some serious Pork for sale ...

Modern GT cars are the best cars, and the cars I'd want to own, but they are not the best looking.

I've seen that Martini GT2 RS on the M40 a couple of times and it is lovely. Must be clocking up some miles!

996, not even going to bother...

Looks like the 964 Turbo has it

Modern 911's are boys, modern GT ones are the hard kids, and the air cooled 911, are girls simples.

:hand: stock a 911R is the best sounding Porsche ever, closely followed by a 981 GTS :grin:

Certainly up there? I'd say it's the best looking 911 ever! It's looks the absolute bomb!

I thought this thread title might bring out all the sandal wearing chin strokers to procrastinate and go back over the last 50 years, but to me the new stuff is lovely.
 
I'm going to have to dig up some picturres from last years trackdays, but the best looking 911 is the 996 GT3 from the side or rear, with that funky folded over wing and body kit, especially if set up for the track with lots of camber and slightly tatty looking. It needs to look driven.

I don't know why, usually I'd say you need a wide body without a wing.

When I read "996 is ugly" please take a look on turbo line-up only one car looks like cheap Chinese/Korean reproduction/copy...... I can only take 996 is ugly from 964/993 owners :mrgreen:
