I''ve just bought the cheapest 911 in the UK!

I enjoyed the video, I like the fact it's all new to you!

I look forward to further updates, hope you enjoy the 996 experience.

At the end of the day, your downside is limited to the purchase price, what could possibly go wrong!

If it's any consolation I bought my 4S without viewing it...

Well I say... the very best of luck with it... it'll need stuff done but that's all part of the challenge with these... I've had my 9k C4 with 141k miles on for 4 months and I've not spent a penny on it or added any oil or water... all I've done is personal bits to it...

I wish you well with your Fiesta money Porsche 911 and I truly hope you prove many wrong...

Thanks Robert, appreciate that. There's lots of people wanting to know how I get on (which is why I did the YouTube channel) and at least 5 people have asked if they can get first refusal if I sell it.

Thanks dude. Mine has some issues that need attention but I can't decide if I should tackle them myself (not that I have time), go to a local garage or a specialist.

I think that's very silly, but also brilliant in equal measure. :worship:
I remember when I used to be daft like that.

My sensible head says best case you'll spend at least the asking price again if you're to end up with a 'nice" car.
Worst case it'll fail catastrophically but you'll get a few grand for it as a parts car/project.

Sometimes though it's these mad purchases you read about that work out well and the owner has a great time. I hope it's the case here. Good luck. :thumb:

I'll be glued to watching your progress.

Post on the readers cars forum on P'heads. It's busier and there's more love for bangers in there. Most of the Porsche forum is about investments and deviated stitching these days.

Thank you...I think! 😊

Lots of people think I should treat it as an investment but the whole premise is a car to drive every day and enjoy.

I'll check out the Piston heads forum and paste in my initial post 👍🏼

Congrats. I have a 3.4 and they are great. I also paid £7,250 for my first 911 but that one was air cooled!

Hang on, how long ago did you buy this air cooled one for that much? Careful, you'll give away your age! 🤓

Just signed up to Piston Heads and tried to post and this came up! 😳

Good luck! I've just subscribed to your YT channel..

Congrats! Not sure what's to go wrong really, catastrophic engine failure? Well you could be paying 35k and getting that, suspension, steering, brakes, etc etc, as above really.
Boom!

Very interesting introduction and project. I can't wait to see how it goes. Thanks for sharing......
