I went last year on the Friday , got there nice and early , left early afternoon, avoiding the notorious traffic jams .... Thumb thinking of doing same again on Friday 5th July. Anyone else going Friday ? Dont know

Also, thinking of splashing out on “Performance parking” so I don’t have to drive across the fields and lose the front splitter Floor any advice ?

My advice = You've got the perfect car for driving across fields and saving £££s. Save the GT3 for occasions more suited to it.

There are a few of us there on the Thursday and hopefully less busy than the rest of the days.

I am going again this year. But in deep with the crowds on Sunday so hoping to try and get there early doors.

With regards to Performance parking, from last years recollection, you are still parked on the grass, albeit much closer to the pit area, ie just adjacent to it. Save the £££ and park with everyone else. There were some lovely cars parked in the standard areas.

Friday is quieter but as with all goodwood events it’s getting busier every year.

Performance parking is ok, but for a Friday it’s only really worth the cash if weather is poor as the route in is on metal/tarmac roads rather than grass/mud tracks that get poor.

Car park marshals can be kids very new to goodwood, make sure they don’t direct you into the generic parking fields.

I did FOS last year on the Sunday, and paid for performance Porsche parking up by the top field near the pits, didn't gain anything cars were totally covered in dust when I got back, from the Porsche off road track, probably more than if I had used normal public parking.

Going again this year on Sunday.

Ive got 2 FREE tickets for the Thursday if anyones interested??

I parked with PCGB last year.. When I got back to my car it was absolutely covered in dust, hardly worth washing it beforehand.

I'm going again on Sunday this year.

I’m going this year and taking the wife and kids. I’ve been twice before both times on the Friday. I’ve not bought tickets yet but Sat already sold out. Sunday still has availability. Is there any reason why Sat sells out? Is Sunday just as good? Perhaps it’s just the negative of Sunday being the day before work. There are some Sat tickets on gumtree but I think I’ll just get Sunday unless someone enlightens me as to why Sat is a lot better than Sun.

Many Thanks.

Sunday is the big day as it's when the hillclimb 'shootout' takes place but I think Saturday always sells out first as a lot of people tend to do Friday and Saturday rather than Saturday and Sunday.

By the week of the event Sunday is normally sold out too.

I’m heading over Thursday with a group from a drivers club I’m in. I’ve never been before and really looking forward to it. You’ll be pleased to see there’s strong Porsche attendance in our group.
