Anyone use them?

Thinking of swapping over from my current Indy to use them for work going forward

Hello OP, I have used Brookspeed three times in the last few months, once for a big service (plugs, PDK fluid, belts), once when they fitted my Ohlins coilovers, and most recently when they fitted a new exhaust and rear pads/discs for me.

I'd recommend them. Their communication is good - i.e. they tell you before incurring costs, and their work seems competent. They run a couple of race teams so they should know what they are doing.

They could do with bigger premises; their car park is always rammed but I suppose them being busy is reassuring. They are a 15 minute walk from the railway station in Eastleigh so quite easy to get to - just off the M27. Their labour rate is around £100 per hour including VAT.

PM me if you want more feedback.

Cheers, Mike.

Experiences vary, for their outsourced engine work, their customer communication and management skills are a complete shambles.

But cheaper than OPC's but i'm out.

They did a ppi for me about 6 years ago and were absolutely useless and when challenged about the work they were aggressive in their reply so it's a no from me.

Where are you based?

I didn`t have a good experience, 7 out of 8 bleed nipples snapped during a fluid change resulted in me having to buy 4 new calipers at a tad over £2k, no discount on a £4+k bill.

Any decent shop would have removed the calipers...drilled them out...flushed and refitted...

Ringwood

sounds like too many bad experiences for me

i was hoping to avoid a 3 hour trip to Centre Gravity for my geo set up...any other choices further South?

I get my car serviced there yearly and find their service to be great, friendly people and the technicians always take the time to explain what they've done or what they've found.

My only complaint so far is that they suggested I replaced my top struts as they had "collapsed" but after inspection (and a second referral) they certainly don't need replacing yet (just some wear), so that would have been a grand or so I didn't need to spend.

Unfortunately if you're in Ringwood I don't think there's many other decent Specialists within a reasonable distance (other than OPC)

Always found them superb and I am really fussy!! Had plenty of work done and no complaints from me!! Massively helpful plus they know how to setup a car properly!!

Very positive from me!

strange, the feedback is really quite polarised....

(Dorset Sports Cars in 3 Legged Cross are who I use at the moment and they're pretty good and know their Porsches. I only fancied a change as I felt a dedicated Porsche shop might be better).

I use Northway near Theale Reading and have done for many years when I've had Porsche. Ray and his team look after both of mine and they are are very well respected Independant.
I make the 90 mile round trip and have never had bad service from them. my 996 has just had it geomentry set up and is a better car for it.
A 70m trip for you but IMO well worth it...
