With a slightly worn bolster on drivers seat was looking to repair this.
Have non memory standard comfort seat.

As a replacement drivers side seat has come up but from a car with adaptive seat controls and memory.

Appreciate will not get memory but is it plug and play to replace? The other adjustments would be great to have and sort the bolster at the same time.

Hi, I think you'll need to compare the connectors on the underside of the seat as a first check to see if they are compatible? It would surely be easier and more in keeping if you just had the seat repaired by a specialist (& hopefully cheaper) who can retrim/recolour as necessary.

No its not plug and play it can be done but is rather complicated!

If the original seats are electrical comfort then they will be a plug & play.
The fact that yours are not memory suggests they might be basic sports seats with manual adjustment in which case it might be slightly more complicated to get them operating, but nothing impossible.

Thanks for replies.

For sure a pin out comparison would be the way forward but was hoping to find someone that may have changed seats in the past as I don't have access to the other seat to do this and TBH a bit of a Pain to take the seat out to check this.

Checked a few other forums and could find change for spirts seats needing a different module but couldn't find out any more info. As suspected as have manual seats might be more than I was expecting. Any one have a break down of what's needed?

The only difference in looks would also only be 2 x switches on the side of the seat. In the past have see cars where the driver seat would have more controls so might not be too obvious but might be more hassle thanks it's worth.

I'm the electrical seats how much extra lumber controls are provided?

Standard seat doesn't have a control unit , memory seat does .. the wiring is very different and there are Can wires for the memory seat .. i would guess this is for the memory function but as they are data wires i can't say for sure .

You could wire up some of the wires needed .. feeds .. earths etc but what function you would have with these seats i can't say .

either way it wont just plug in .

i looked at a wiring diagram for both basically and can say .. its possible .. but might be complicated .

Thanks deMort.

As every very helpful and sounds like as with the original response need to give it a try but probably not worth the efforts.

Back to a restoration on the seat.
