Heading south again in two weeks and have exhausted the obvious interesting stop overs on the different routes to the south coast of France We have heard good things about Honfleur so may make a small diversion for our first night. Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.
Also, if you know of any other hidden gems to visit, please tell. _________________ 2015 Cayman GTS. No more PDK but still red.

I love Hornfluer, (and Deauville) can I come please. Hah!
We generally take in Honfleur on the way down to Le Mans (from our previous night in Le Touquet). Any of the restaurants around the portside are pretty good and very reasonably priced. The bridge to Honfleur is awesome so make sure the passenger is taking lots of photos

Pegasus Bridge at Benouville is well worth a visit even if you are only mildly interested in the Battle for Normandy. And if you are heading for Le Mans take the D road from Villaine to Sille le Guillaume as it is a blinder!
