996 headlining removal...?

Has anyone successfully removed the headlining in a 996 (non sunroof, if that makes a difference)?

Any good how-to's out there?

I have an annoying rattle toward the back, and I can see someone has shoved some foam up there to try and stop it, but without success.

I understand there is a retaining rod between it and the roof which I suspect has gotten loose.
 
Yes, all covered in the manual in decent detail. Not at all difficult, just a few bits to take off first to get at it.
