North West servicing

Does anyone have any recommendations for 993 servicing in the north west - around the south Preston area?
I've had a couple of bad experiences with my usual indie, so really don't want to go back there.

I'm aware of Unit 11, Ninemeister, Classic car Workshop, Jasmine, Tech-9 & Hartech - but had no experience of servicing from any, though 9M did do my painwork.

I use Unit 11 in Warrington as they really do specialize in the air cooled Porsche's and are brilliant value for money. Just off the M6 / M62 junction at Birchwood so easy to get to from south Preston ;-)

Ps I'm there for a 993 service on Wednesday

Unique seem to be getting some good feedback from the local lads:

There's also Cath Burrrows who has a decent rep:

...or you could try the new Preston OPC when it opens

Cheers Alex,
Not sure about OPC :hand:
I used Cath all the time when I had my 996 - highly recommended for water cooled cars.
I think she used to work with Kev at Classic car Workshop in Chorley.
Kev's done a couple of jobs for me in the past, but wasn't sure if he did servicing and stamps your book?

Just round the corner from 9M, and only 15 minutes from where I work in Warrington...:?:

I've heard good things about Unit 11 in the past. Let me know how it goes Jon now that they are in a different location and different staff.

Not different staff just Johnny on his own now. Rebuiding a poorly 993 engine when I saw him last :thumb:

I've had experience of all except Tech 9. 9m are excellent as were Unit11.
There is one in Adlington which has a good reputation, small but very tidy:-
White Bear Garage.
I do mine own servicing but if it's just a routine service I would use Kev at Classic Car Workshop if I can't be *rs*d.
The Adlington one is very close to the train staion for Preston but they don't always stop there.

I had my 993 serviced by Johnny at unit 11 this morning. As thorough as ever and unbelievable value of money compared to what other charge (I gave him an extra £20 as I did not think he charged me enough  ).....
