Blanc - thanks for the heads up.

Is this what you where referring too? https://www.custom-concepts.nl/en/component/virtuemart/view/productdetails/virtuemart_product_id/82/virtuemart_category_id/53/lang/en-GB

The descriptions are not the best on that site though! But they do sell some nice bits.

Ive messaged them through facebook so you get a fiberglass, carbon kelvar and full carbon version. Hopefully getting prices later.

Just had the cost back from OPC:

GT3 bumper - £1247 +VAT

It also required the black trim to sit behind - £117.98 + VAT

So circa £1638 inc VAT - A fair chunk for just the bumper before painting

I reckon I can get you one cheaper than you have been quoted.

Post the part number and I will ask the question if you like.

Polyester EUR 795,00
Kevlar / Carbon EUR 895,00
Carbon fiber with clear coat (satin or gloss) EUR 1.495,00

Prices for the customconcepts place. Im assuming they mean fibreglass not polyester.

Crash - the part number is 996 505 980 03. It'll be interesting to see what price you can get his for. Thumb

The CustomConcept prices look good. I think the next dilemma is to go OEM or not. Im not 100% convinced my OCD could let be buy from a 3rd party. But then its half the price...! Decisions!

My concern with the non-OEM is cracking. The original equipment should be more flexible. Also not sure on Carbon Kevlar as I believe that's quite porous so good for race track but maybe not for a road car?

There is also a company called clubautosport in the UK that do the fiberglass option. I think its about £380 for one of them so if you look at it you could buy about 5 of them for one OEM bumper. Depends on your level of OEM OCDness.

Thanks guys - lots to consider.

I've just taken a look at the Clubautosport bumper, for £300 ex VAT it looks a bargain.

http://clubautosport.co.uk/product/996-boxster-mk1-gt3-front-bumper/

Does anyone have any experience of them? Is the fit and finish any good?

And thanks Crash for getting the OEM cost down. I'll keep this in mind, much appreciated.

Might be tempted by the clubautosport one if they would do a deal on two.

I’d be interested in that too. I would like to know more about the figment. I don’t fancy having to modify it to fit correctly.

Have also noticed they do gt3 side skirts for £300.

All maybe to good to be true?

The parts I saw on cars when I went to visit them looked pretty good. I will be using their bonnet and doors on my C4 project.

That's good, its never going to be OEM perfect but if its decent quality Id probably use it.

Good to know MC, clubautosport also do the parts in carbon fibre for double the fibreglass cost, although fibreglass would probably be the better option for a bumper as it has more flex.

Thanks for that MC - with the detail you're putting into your project that certainly gives some credibility to using Clubautosport panels.

To bring this up to date. I’ve recieved a genuine GT3 front bumper today. Delivered from Teile. Side skirts should be here on wed. I had a good chat with the body shop who suggested to stay away from aftermarket panels. Annoying as the genuine stuff costs 3x more.

Looking forwards to getting them fitted and sprayed.
