996.1 cab C2 manual

Just to add another alternative (with a deeper dish look). My 18" Group 4 Fuchs reps were £1,250 delivered.

I've been looking at these too. They seem to have a deeper dish on the fronts than some other rep's, which I prefer.
They do seem to have gone up in price, but still comparable to other replicas. With shipping & handling they're now £1596

Just had a chat with Group 4- they only do a solid paint finish, so by the time you have had the wheels stripped and refinished you are back to actual Fuchs prices.

Not the greatest pic, but hopefully gives you the idea. Not sure about weights, but they are not light. Being a bit of a tart, I bought them purely for aesthetics :D

The below link is to a tyre review comparison between 17" 18" and 19" tyres of the same type on the same car on the same roads

Thought it may provide food for thought?

According to this the distance between the side mounts should be 395mm:

Runners on the outer row of mounting holes:

Too far apart to mount the seat:

Flip the base, look at the mounting holes:

I moved the runners to the middle position, so they're inline with the mounting holes in the car:

At this point the seats would mount using the supplied 5mm spacers:

Or I can move the side mounts inward, which would mount the seat to the side-mounts with no spacers (which does strike me as better).

However, what I'm struggling with is what this gives me over mounting the Recaro side-mounts on the OEM sliders.

The BBI side mounts do have more mounting holes:

Than the Recaro:

Which as long as the seat doesn't hit the base suggests that ultimate mounting could be lower, but I have to count the thickness of the base plate in the total stack height.

You really need to mount it all in the car to see where you need the seat. E.g mounting side mount buckets in an E36 BMW requires a big offset towards the transmission tunnel otherwise you're way out of line to the pedals

Ah, that makes sense. I was going to fit the seat today, but when I called the shop who I ordered it from they said they'd not got it in yet. Next week!

Pole positions or SPG's Dammit?

Or GT3 reps?

A single Recaro Profi SPG, which will give me an asymmetric car that will doubtless raise eyebrows, but this is something of a test. I also think that asymmetric seats is the hot trend for 2020, so I'm getting in early.

Good skills!

Wasn't impressed with the GT3 reps from Design911 when I tried them. V small and the back seemed to flex a bit more than I expected.

Will you get the asymmetric full harness in red as well!!!?

Sticking with the standard three point inertia reel, despite the harness point integral to the seat base. I think a five point harness in a cab would look a little over the top, although it'd be nice to be able to fit something for track days that could then go in the boot for the drive home.
