My Insurance is due at the end of Feb so last week I started on the comparison sites ready for when my overpriced renewal comes through. Tesco who I'm currently with were coming in at £330, with the cheapest (Zenith) at £280.

Amway, I got my renewal though at the weekend with Tesco - £276. For the first time EVER my renewal has beaten all the quotes I've found, even their own........Which NEVER happens.

Wonder if Insurance companies are starting to change their tactics? :dont know:

Every little helps

.......and I get clubcard points which are triple value on the chunnel = £2.76 x 3 = £8.28 off my booking.

Got a good quote (with good coverage) from Classiclie the other day....

£755 is the best I can do on a V8V

Last time I paid £700 for Insurance was in 1991 on an Escort RS Turbo!

I've just paid £600 for the dog :nooo:

Just had a do on gocompare with the one we've been watching. I'm getting £527 or £560 with TESCO (who were quoting me £353 on gocompare).

Anything in the 200s is good IMO - mine came in at £209 from =LV

I`m with Swiftcover on a multicar policy, around £400 each for the Porschas..........but £1000 for the daily Merc

I think I need to shop around

The problem is I need a company that can mirror my no claims bonus which is on my works van and I don't think the comparison sites do that?

They do. You load in nil (or 1, 2 years etc) NCB for the quote and then it asks you if you have NCB on any other car. I had to do that for the 4C as it's not classic status (yet) but at least the advantage is I build a separate NCB

That's worth knowing

Just for a laugh I rung my van insurers (Aviva) to see if they would consider adding it as a 2nd vehicle as a multi car policy type of thing.

To add a V8 Vantage until renewal in june would be £91 and estimated annual premium including my van £600 (the van is £308 on its own)

Now thats a proper result
