The clue is in the rear spoiler 😊 have to have clearance for the hydraulic rams. Airbox may not be pretty but still has the original filter area.

Welcome to the forum Ruffy. Two great pics there. Great looking 911.

Bought this Gen 1 997 Carrera S back in August with a bore scored engine. Took the engine out, fully stripped it and got Hartech to remanufacture both cylinder blocks. Now got the engine rebuilt and fully future proofed with new large bearing IMS, pistons and rings, main and big end bearings, chains, low temperature thermostat and a multitude of other new small parts. It's now ready to go back in and looking forward to getting the car back on the road in the spring.

Fantastic job :thumb: it would be great to see pics of your rebuild, maybe you should start a thread :?:

Looks so much cleaner without the front plate! I've removed it in Photoshop to see what it looked like

When the front finally needs a respray, I'm definitely going to remove the front numberplate. I'll probably make a temporary mount where the centre radiator isn't on my car.

snow queen.

what a hoot getting to the station on winter tyres. loads of drifting around and laughing at the big 4x4s who can't get up the hills on their 305 wide summer tyres.

lots of funny looks and surprise as you cruise past on the outside.

Winter tyres on. Took the car to work with no issues.
